Ump Life

Another year of umpiring baseball at altitude. We again provided umpires for the Telluride Umpire Festival.

4th of July in 2019 saw several of us Colorado umpires down in Phoenix working a tournament for USA Baseball.

In 2019, our area helped umpire the inaugural year of American Legion baseball in Southwest Colorado. Pagosa, Bayfield, Ignacio, Cortez and Dove Creek all participated.

SW CO Umpires have some more opportunities to umpire in Phoenix March 7-10 and/or March 14-17. Since our fields might still be under snow, it is a great chance for some baseball, sun and fun.

This last January Michael Wise and Doug LaMunyon traveled to Phoenix to work a wood bat tournament and knock some rust off in our first Veteran Tune Up. Totally new
